🤔 Did you know?
We might be in the end times!

According to the spiritual organization MFI, the world is approaching a critical turning point. Guided by the predictions outlined in The Religion of God by Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi, MFI believes that an asteroid collision with Earth in 2026 will mark the end of the world.

While such a prediction may not come to fruition, it serves as a powerful reminder of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of making the most of every moment. Rather than living in fear, this perspective can inspire us to cherish our relationships, pursue our passions, and contribute positively to the world around us.

In the face of uncertainty, let us strive to live each day as though it could be our last—embracing gratitude, kindness, and purpose. Regardless of what the future holds, living life to its fullest is a lesson we can all take to heart.

Positive Thought of the Month
"Any new beginning is forged from the shards of the past, not from the abandonment of the past.”
– Craig D. Lounsbrough

We recognize that every success, challenge, and lesson from the past year has shaped the foundation of who we are today. This year, we are determined to honor our legacy while driving innovation and growth. From record-breaking exports and increased community engagement to expanded infrastructure and cutting-edge training initiatives, 2024 has provided the “shards” that will help us forge an even brighter future.

Riddle me this ...
Previous Riddle: fruitcake
This is a five-letter word. With all five letters, people eat it. However, if you remove the first letter, then I become a form of energy. If you remove another letter, then I am required to live. If you mix up the final three letters, then I am a drink. What word am I??
🤔

Answer revealed in upcoming issue.

Maersk instructs customers how to prepare for US dock strike

As the possibility of a dockworker strike looms over U.S. East and Gulf Coast ports, major shipping companies like Maersk are advising customers to take proactive measures to mitigate potential disruptions. Maersk has recommended that clients retrieve their laden containers and return empty ones by January 15, 2025, to avoid complications arising from a potential strike set to commence on January 16 if labor agreements are not reached.
At the Port of Big Creek, we are closely monitoring these developments to assess their potential impact on our operations and the broader supply chain. While our port is not directly affected by the U.S. labor disputes, the interconnected nature of global trade means that disruptions in major ports can have ripple effects worldwide.

At Big Creek Group, the safety of our employees is our top priority. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) serves as the first line of defense against workplace injuries, and it’s essential that every team member has access to, understands the importance of, and consistently uses the appropriate PPE.

Whether it’s hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, or steel-toed boots, wearing the right PPE for the task at hand minimizes risks and ensures everyone returns home safely at the end of the day.
Let’s commit to reinforcing the proper use of PPE regularly, not just as a requirement but as a shared responsibility to maintain a safer workplace. Together, we can prevent avoidable injuries and keep our workplace secure and productive.

STORY TIME - The Story of Lazy John
Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a man named John, known by everyone as Lazy John. He avoided work at all costs and spent most of his days lying under a tree, dreaming of an easy life.

One day, the village chief announced a reward for anyone who could bring water from a distant well in the forest. Many villagers tried but gave up halfway because the journey was long and challenging. The reward tempted John, but his laziness held him back. Finally, hunger and desperation pushed him to try.

Grumbling all the way, John began his journey. At first, he thought of turning back, but he realized he had already walked too far. When he reached the well, he saw no one else was there, as the others had given up. John filled his buckets, carried them back to the village, and claimed the reward.

From that day forward, John learned that effort and perseverance pay off. He started working hard and eventually earned the respect of the entire village.
Moral of the Story:
Hard work and perseverance lead to rewards, even if the task feels difficult at first. Laziness gets you nowhere, but determination can change your life.
